FIRST Robotics is very reliant on the local community.
Our team takes time to get involved through volunteer work, spreading the ideas of FIRST, and learning in the real world.

Members of the team joined students from the Merrill welding and fabrication shop on a trip to Delta collage for the "Student Technical Solutions" competitions. Team member Caitlin Lisee placed 2nd in the robotics section. The event was a great way to expose students to the Delta campus and programs such as mechatronics. The experience was a great way to explore post secondary options, discover new career fields, and make new friends.

Representatives Brandon Martin and Caitlin Lisee attended the Merrill Business Association meeting to discuss getting help and sponsorship from local business. The board was thrilled at the student's performance in their speech.

The team volunteered to team up with the Merrill National Honors Society and Mrs. Jordan's advisory class to clean up the community. This included planting flowers, restoring a baseball field, and cleaning up debris.
